Amoroso’s ace powers Vikings

Sofia Amoroso recorded a hole-in-one to help West Chester East to a 185-195 victory over Downingtown East in the Ches-Mont League National Division golf match to remain unbeaten.

Amoroso’s shot on the par3, 148-yard eighth hole hit the front of the green and rolled into the hole.

The ace is believed to be the first for the Vikings (6-0) in at least seven years. Amoroso finished with a 39.

Jack Hamilton led the way with an 1-under-par 34 for the Vikings.
