Police ID suspect in Limerick shooting
LIMERICK » Authorities are searching for man after he allegedly shot a woman in the township Friday afternoon.
Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele said at a press conference Friday that authorities have identified a suspect following a shooting that occurred Friday around noon on Long Meadow Road. Steele identified the suspect as Greg Feldman, 30, last known address of Montgomery Drive in Harleysville.
Authorities said that a 48-year-old woman who lived in a residence on Long Meadow Road had answered her door when she was shot twice. Steele did not identify the victim by name but said she is at the hospital being treated and that authorities “are hoping for the best.”
Montgomery County Detectives and Limerick Police were investigating at the scene for several hours following the incident.
No motive has been identified by authorities but Steele said Friday that Feldman was identified by the victim and known to the victim through a “familial relationship.”
Steele said police are still looking for Feldman and that he was last seen driving a black 2016 Mazda Sedan with a registration plate of KFC-4605.
The suspect is considered armed and dangerous, Steele said.
“Anybody seeing Mr. Feldman should contact authorities right away,” said Steele. “Anybody with information about his whereabouts should contact us right away. We would suggest you don’t approach him. He shot somebody today and we believe he still has the weapon at this point. So please just contact authorities.”
Steele said charges are expected to be filed soon.
Anyone with information on Feldman’s whereabouts should call 911 immediately, the district attorney said.
