- Staff Report

WILLISTOWN » For the second consecutive year, Atria senior living residents demonstrated acts of gratitude and promoted kindness and goodwill in celebration of World Gratitude Day, which took place Sept. 21.

The mission of the 21,000 residents at Atria is called “Go Grateful.” Last year, a wide range of people found themselves on the receiving end of residents’ acts of appreciation – from friends, neighbors and random strangers to retail clerks, medical professionals and firefighters and other first responders.

The residents at Atria Willistown showed their gratitude to the Willistown Police department, West Goshen Fire Company and the Giant Food Store on Boot Road.

Atria’s chef prepared trays of homemade cookies, muffins and pastries to show how much we appreciate everything that they do every day.

Atria resident Kathleen Niles said she was so impressed to watch their faces as they talked about their jobs. The residents at Atria all felt very grateful for their obvious commitment in what they are doing and it inspired confidence and gratitude for these officers.

The Goshen Fire Company was so appreciative that they took the time to give the residents a tour of the fire house.

Each week the residents shop at the Giant on Boot Road.
