King leads Octorara past Oxford

The Octorara golf squad topped visiting Oxford 217-247 in Ches-Mont American action on Monday at Mocassin Run Golf Club. The Braves’ Hunter King was the overall medalist with a 4-over-par 39, and teammate Ben Pappas added a 40 for Octor- ara (5-4, 7-5 overall. Mat- thew Todd fired a 42 to pace the Hornets.

WEST CHESTER RUSTIN 2, DOWNINGTOW­N EAST 2 » The Knights and Cougars battled to a 2-2 draw in a Ches-Mont clash. Audrey Coffee and Ashley Chisholm scored for Rustin. Meg Buckner and Emily Wurzel tallied goals for East (4-0-2, 4-3-2 overall).

Fiona Pyfer had 12 kills to lead Henderson and teammate Amanda Ball added nine digs. AVON GROVE 3, OXFORD 0 » The Red Devils swept the Hornets 25-15, 29-27, 25-22. Logan Wolfe (five aces, nine kills) and Saraha Bobinson (three kills, 23 digs) led the way for Oxford.
