Rose L. (Cinaglia) Romano of Berwyn

Rose L. (Cinaglia) Romano, 92, of Berwyn passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday October 4, 2017. Born on September 8, 1925 in Norristown, she was the daughter of the late Nicola & Philomena (Ciabattoni) Cinaglia, and the loving wife of the late Joseph Romano.

During her years in Norristown, Rose attended Holy Saviour School, as well as Rittenhouse where she would later go on to work in the post office and eventually journey to Berwyn to raise a family. She then began to work for Conestoga High School where she would stay for most of her 28 years as the cafeteria manager. She cherished her job and enjoyed working as much as she could. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, shopping, and spending time with her family. Rose was also a dedicated parishioner of the Our Lady of Assumption Church in Strafford. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and dear friend to all and will be missed by many.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Ann (James) Ragusa, of Malvern; two sons, Joseph (Mary) Romano of Berwyn, and John (Mary) Romano, of Collegeville; one sister, Teresa Bokoski; two sisters in law, Anna Romano and Patricia Romano; brother in law, Salvadore Romano; her four loving grandchildren, Maria, Joseph J., Gina, and Will; she is also survived by her one loving great granddaughter, seven loving great grandsons and many nieces and nephews.

In addition, to her parents and husband, Rose was preceded in death by her three brothers, Domenic, John, and Nicholas Cinaglia; and one sister, Mary Battisto.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from 9:30 10:50 a.m., at the Our Lady of Assumption Church, 35 Old Eagle School Rd, Wayne, PA 19087. Mass will follow the viewing at 11 a.m. in the Church Sanctuary. Burial will take place in the Saint Monica Cemetery Berwyn.
