Wayne woman works as matchmaker between artists and clients

- Submitted story and photos

Lauren Anrig Addis of Wayne, has always had a strong passion for art, design and entertaining. These interests lead her to a fulfilling and fast-paced career with Tiffany & Co., and then Urban Outfitters Inc. However, art has always been a main catalyst for her creativity, inspirations, and happiness. As a wife and mother of two, she decided to turn her passion into a profession and founded LAA Art Collective where she collaborates with local Philadelphia Region artists and curates personal and corporate installations.

Addis originally started consulting private clients on art in both home and corporate settings in 2015, and in 2016 officially founded LAA Art Collective and has created a multipronged business featuring art advisory, curation and a virtual gallery. When working with individuals in their homes, or businesses in corporate settings, Addis strives to really understand her clients and to turn a unique vision into a one-of-a-kind installation that is completely personal and most importantly, fun and stress free. While the artist focuses on his or her art work, Addis oversees all aspects of communication, coordination, installation and exhibitions.

When creating installations to showcase her artist’s work, the focus for Addis is on sharing original, new, one-of-a-kind art in different mediums & accessible price points. The representation of local Philly artists is unique to LAA Art Collective, as Addis believes strongly in the importance of buying original art because and supporting our local Philly artists. “Philadelphia is home to many amazing art schools that help mold students into incredible artists. From working in my business I see firsthand how grateful our local artists are to be represented and supported by their local communities,” stated Addis.

Her most recent addition to the brand, is the launch of a virtual web gallery, which features emerging and early established Philadelphia Region artists. The online gallery creates access for the public to shop current artists’ work that she’s featuring in local gallery installations. Contemporary artists represented by Addis and featured in her virtual gallery are emerging to early established in their career, including Tremain Smith, Gail Morrison, Colleen Rudolf, Joe Barker, and Emily Manalo Ruiz.
