West Pikeland police find truck allegedly involved a hitand-run on Oct. 20.

WEST PIKELAND » Police believe they found the vehicle that was allegedly involved in a recent hit-and-run that injured two pedestrian­s and their dog.

West Pikeland Township Police used social media to ask the public for help finding the driver responsibl­e for injuring a woman and her daughter who were out walking their dog on Oct. 20 when they were hit by a pickup truck shortly before 5 p.m. in the 1900 block of Art School Road.

A 16-year-old female victim was air-lifted to Children’s Hospital of Philadelph­ia in serious condition.

Police said on Friday that they located the pickup and identified a person of interest. Police did not name that person as of Friday evening.

Police had described the alleged striking vehicle as a Chevrolet Silverado crew cab four-door with lettering in the door, black door handles, a silver/black grill and black trim around the wheel wells that was last seen traveling southbound on Art School Road heading into West Vincent Township.

Police obtained photograph­s that showed the suspected vehicle minutes before the incident. The photograph­s were enhanced on Tuesday with the assistance of the Chester County Detectives Forensic Unit and were released on social media.
