Floyd L. D’Ginto of Downingtow­n passed away at the age of 82 on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at St. Martha’s Center in Downingtow­n.

He was born on November 29, 1934 in Bryn Mawr, PA to the late Margaret Fleming D’Ginto and Louis D’Ginto.

He was a graduate of Downingtow­n High School, class of 1955. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1958.

He was employed by Milprint from 1958 to 1980 and Pepperidge Farm from 1980 to 1997. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of St. Joseph’s Parish in Downingtow­n.

Floyd was a wonderful man who touched many lives. He was a father figure to many, always showing his love and sharing his time with his nieces and nephews. You could always count on him when you needed him. He was a devoted family man who loved being with his beloved wife and cherished daughter and son-in-law! He told the best stories and his smile was like none other. He always let his loved ones know how much he loved them….that was his greatest gift! His absence has created a void that will never be filled.

He was the devoted husband of Amelia Talucci D’Ginto. They shared 59 wonderful years of marriage. Along with his wife Amelia, he is also survived by his daughter Theresa D’Ginto Primus and son-inlaw Jeff Primus of Downingtow­n, PA; his brother Roy and his wife Josie of Downingtow­n, PA; his brother Richard and his wife Bonnie of Apopka, Florida; and sisters-in-law Bonnie D’Ginto and Eleanor Toto. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, with whom he shared very special relationsh­ips.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Domenic and Theresa Talucci; his sisters Margaret D’Ginto and Geraldine Farrell; and his brother Donald D’Ginto and special nephew Domenic Talucci.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 from 9:15 to 10:45 at St. Joseph’s Church, 338 Manor Ave., Downingtow­n followed by his Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Downingtow­n.
