Michael W. Kocher, formerly of Downingtown

Michael W. Kocher, 51, of Mays Landing, NJ and formerly of Downingtown, PA passed away on November 7, 2017.

Born in Easton, PA Michael was the son of Patricia Metz McLennan of Exton and George Kocher III of Phillipsburg, NJ. He graduated from Downingtown High School and attended East Stroudsburg University. He worked at the Desmond Hotel in Malvern for a number of years. He was employed by Omni Baking in Vineland, NJ as a Maintenance Manager at the time of his death.

Michael was an avid photographer and enjoyed keeping up with the latest computer technologies. He shared these skills as a volunteer for Home of the Sparrow in Malvern for many years. He was always willing to lend a hand when needed.

In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by his brother, Rob (Annmarie) and his niece Mallory, his stepmother Arlene Kocher and cousins Lisa Warner (Ernie) and Heather Struck (Jay). He was predeceased by his beloved stepfather Hugh McLennan, his maternal grandparents William and Edna Metz, his paternal grandparents George Kocher and Viola Heller and his uncle Bill Metz.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, November 18th at 10:30 AM at St. Peter’s Church in the Great Valley, 2475 St. Peter’s Road, Malvern, PA 19355.
