John Brian Frock of Sayre, Pa.

John Brian Frock died peacefully on Saturday November 18, 2017 surrounded by loving family.

John lef t his hometown of Sayre, Pennsylvan­ia for Villanova University, where he earned both bachelor’s and law degrees. Law school was interrupte­d by the draft, and John spent two years, courtesy of Uncle Sam, at Fort Dix, honing his woodworkin­g skills in off hours.

A seasoned trial attorney, John took his clients and their causes to heart, through the good and the bad. He supported the Chester County Bar Associatio­n by overseeing the first renovation of the current bar associatio­n building, followed by serving as President of the CCBA. A man of many talents, John made beautiful furniture for his home and his children, and was a licensed grower of a lovely variety of trees and shrubs.

John is survived by his wife, Jane Shields, his daughters Michelle Parlaman ( husband William), Amie Williams ( husband Jason) and Darlene Potts ( husband Keith), stepdaught­er Rebecca Shields Moose, stepson Robert Shields Moose ( wife Amy Batzell) and his brother, Richard Frock ( wife Nancy).

A visitation for John will take place Tuesday evening November 21st from 6 to 8 pm and Wednesday from 9 to 11 am at the James J. Terry Funeral Home 736 E. Lancaster Ave Downingtow­n. Funeral services and interment will be private
