Coatesvill­e woman charged after allegedly spitting on police

On Nov. 21 at 7:08 p.m., Coatesvill­e Cpl. Ingemie viewed a white sedan go through a posted stop sign at the above location. The sole occupant, Aliya Tate, 39, of the 400 block of Oak Street, Coatesvill­e, was found to be under the influence of alcohol to the degree that she was unable to safely drive the vehicle, police said. Tate was taken in custody and refused chemical testing. Tate, prior to transport to Coatesvill­e Police Department, attempted to spit on Cpl Ingemie. Tate was transporte­d back to the police station where she proceeded to rub her rear end on the bars and wall of the cell block. She also began to spit and cover the cell camera with wet paper towels. Tate was arraigned and posted 10 percent of $5,000 bail.

DOMESITC VIOLENCE » On Nov. 24 at 8:09 p.m., officers conducted a bar check of the Midway bar and noticed that Jeffrey Martin was at the bar and that he had a active bench warrant for domestic violence. Officers verified the warrant. Martin was taken into custody and transporte­d back to station and held for constables. FRAUD » On Nov. 21, at 4:09 p.m. Madelyn Lahr made a fraud report. Lohr said she had $91.41 taken from her bank account for the purpose of making Uber purchases. The investigat­ion continues. DRUG CHARGES » On Saturday, Nov. 25, police conducted a stop on a 15-yearold juvenile male who smelled of marijuana. He was taken into custody for possession of marijuana. While dealing with him, Dondre Pittman, 19, of Maple Avenue, Coatesvill­e came up to police, and advised them that the marijuana the juvenile had was in fact his. Pittman was taken into custody, and also was found to be in possession of marijuana. The juvenile male was released to his mother. DRUG CHARGES » On Sunday, Nov. 26, at 3:25 a.m. police conducted a traffic stop on a Buick Regal sedan after it failed to stop for a properly posted stop sign. The driver, Kimberlee Newell, 23, of Mayfield Drive, Coatesvill­e, was found to be in possession of marijuana. Police discovered Newell had six traffic warrants. She was also operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Newell was taken into custody without incident, and transporte­d back to the station where she was processed and housed until arraignmen­t.

THEFT » A 39-year-old woman from Oxford filled his car with fuel at the Honey Brook Express gas station on Nov. 5 at 5:50 p.m. and did not pay, police said. It was later discovered she prepaid for $12 of fuel, but the gas pump continued pumping gas and the man filled his tank. The man left the scene without knowing she got more than she paid for. DUI » Quinton Alexander Hershey, 22, of Coatesvill­e, was arrested for DUI on Nov. 28 at 1:33 a.m. after a traffic stop on Highland Road in Highland Township. PFA VIOLATION » Karissa Rodirguez-Maldonado, 26, of Coatesvill­e, was arrested for a PFA violation and resisting arrest on Nov. 16 at 8:04 p.m. Police said that the victim appeared at state police barracks to report that Ridirguez-Maldonado had sent him numerous text messages and attempted calling him over 50 times within a few yours. Police contacted Rodriguez-Maldonado at her residence in Coatesvill­e, and when she was informed she was under arrest, she resisted and caused a public disturbanc­e. Coatesvill­e police assisted with the arrest. She was arraigned and bail was set at $1,500.
