Boy robbed in Coatesvill­e

BURGLARY » On Nov. 30, at 2:54 p.m., a 54-yearold female who lives on Harlan Drive in Coatesvill­e reported having various items taken from her home. The victim sustained a loss of over $4,000. BEATING, ROBBERY » Coatesvill­e Police on patrol in the area of the Turkey Hill at 100 W. Kings Highway were alerted by employees of a subject laying on the floor in the convenienc­e store. Contact was made with a juvenile male who was bloody and appeared disoriente­d. An investigat­ion revealed that the juvenile male had been walking while talking on his cellphone in the vicinity of the 500 block of Walnut Street. The victim was approached by three or four men who had their faces partially covered. One of the men punched the victim and the group attempted to take his cellphone. The victim reported being struck several times by the actors, but was able to recover his phone from the ground and flee on foot. The victim was subsequent­ly transporte­d by ambulance to Brandywine Hospital for treatment of minor facial injuries. SHOPLIFTIN­G » On Nov. 4 at 5:47 p.m., a 33-year-old female took items from the WalMart Store in West Sadsbury and hid them in her clothes. Stolen were a camera, three packs of razors and eye drops, totaling $129.81.

PACKAGE THEFT » A FexEd package delivered to a property on Nov. 24 in Malvern was stolen. Police are investigat­ing.

HARASSMENT » Charles Jordan, 73, was arrested for harassment after he trespassed on a property off Route 162 at Groundhog College Road in West Bradford and discharged a firearm several times.

FALSE REPORTS » On Nov. 15 at 12:44 p.m., police arrested Anthony Mata, 27, Kennett Square for false reports. Mata was ar-

raigned by the on-call District Court and bail was set at $1,500 cash. Unable to post bail, Mata was remanded to Chester County Prison.

GRAFITTI » On Nov. 15 police received the report that on Nov. 8, a person spray-painted graffiti in the laundry room of a building located in the 200 block of South Walnut Street. Also spray-painted was a picture, a bike peg and bike tire.

PETS ON THE LOOSE » Police cited Augustin Aguilera, 32, Kennett Square for allowing pets to run at large on Nov. 17 at 2:54 p.m. after receiving the report of his dog running loose in the 200 block of East Linden Street.

MISCHIEF » Sometime between 2:45 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Nov. 21, someone threw food sauce on a garage door located in the 200 block West Mulberry Street.

DUI » Police arrested Oscar Escobar-Lucas, 19, Toughkenam­on for DUI following a traffic stop in the 600 block West State Street on Nov. 22 at 12:49 a.m. Escobar-Lucas was released pending summons from District Court.

PHONE HACKED » On Nov. 22, a resident of the 500 block Worrall Avenue reported to police that their phone was hacked. The resident stated that their bank account informatio­n was obtained and $120 was withdrawn from their account.

DUI » Police arrested Mario Chavez-Aguilar, 20, Kennett Square, for DUI following a traffic stop in the 400 block School House Alley on Nov. 23 at 12:44 a.m. Chavez-Aguilar was released pending summons

from District Court.

PACKAGE THEFT » A resident of the 200 block Meredith Street reported to police that on Nov. 26 between 3:15 p.m. and 3:25 p.m. a delivered Amazon package was taken from their property. The package was later found in the 200 block Chestnut Alley, nothing was missing.

THEFT » On Nov. 30, a business located in the 400 block West State Street reported to police that on Nov. 23, they were the victim of a theft of $1,900.

PACKAGE THEFT » On Dec. 1, a resident of the 600 block Magnolia Court reported to police that sometime between 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Nov. 30, a delivered UPS package was taken from their property.

ROBBERY » On Dec. 2 at 8 p.m., a business located in the 600 block South Union Street was robbed of $800 cash. Police said the suspect is a white male wearing a ski mask and displaying a gun.

DUI » Gary J. Walsh, 19, of Bear, Del. was arrested and charged with DUI, as well as with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device, and Cosmetic Act , and prohibited offensive weapons, following a traffic stop for erratic driving Nov. 22 at 1:40 a.m. in the 8900 block of Gap Newport Pike, in New Garden Township. Police observed a Subaru leave its lane of travel on several occasions and the driver of same make abrupt overcorrec­tions. A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the driver, Walsh.

DRUG CHARGES » Derek E. Johns, 19, of Middletown, Del. was arrested and charged with violations of the Controlled Substance,

Drug, Device, and Cosmetic Act after the vehicle he was a passenger in was stopped for erratic driving. Johns was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana and related parapherna­lia. He was processed and released pending issuance of a summons. DUI » David Pennington,

40, of Avondale was arrested and charged with DUI and related traffic offenses, following a hit and run crash on Nov. 23 at 2:25 a.m., in the 1000 block of West Baltimore Pike, in New Garden Township. Police were dispatched to a report of an erratic driver being followed by the caller. While police were en route, the

caller said that the vehicle, a silver BMW SUV, had struck an unoccupied tractor trailer that was parked in the area of 1010 W. Baltimore Pike.

DRUG POSSESSION » Police charged Dawn Crystal Bard with drug possession

and related offenses after a police investigat­ion into criminal activity between June 13 and June 15.

DRUG CHARGES » Police charged William Tyler Hicks, William S. Ross, Gregory Kastner, and Robert London Ford with drugs and related criminal offenses following criminal investigat­ions.
