Mildred E. “Millie” Seeds, 80, of Downingtow­n, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Neighborho­od Hospice of West Chester.

Born in Downingtow­n, she was the daughter of the late George A. and Mary Dukeman Seeds.

Millie graduated from Downingtow­n High School in 1955. She was a Dairy Farmer, owning and operating Top-O-Hill Farm where she bred Championsh­ip Jersey Cows. She founded Chester Valley Jersey 4-H Club in October of 1957 and was the 4-H leader for 60 years. Millie also worked as a veterinari­an assistant, a shuttle driver for Coley Pontiac, a bus driver for On The Go Kids and a parts driver for NAPA Auto. She was a member of Romansvill­e United Methodist Church and also a very valued member of the Goshen Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her sister, Freda Hughes, a host of nieces and nephews and a lot of friends. Millie was predecease­d by a sister, Evelyn Reifsnyder.

An evening viewing will be held from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2017 and again from 9:4510:45 a.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m., at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtow­n.

Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery, West Chester.
