May loved all things Irish. Both she and her husband Joe were accomplished Irish dancers. She loved nothing more than an afternoon out with her girls at the Pub where she “whizzed” around the dance floor for hours, or a night at the Irish Center to dance the night away at an Irish Ball. Both she and Joe hosted many a party in their home and her love of entertaining continued over the years.

She made the best Irish Scones and Blueberry muffins and was a wonderful cook. She devoted her life to caring for her handicapped son, John James, born deaf and sight impaired as a result of the German Measles Epidemic. Her devotion to John and her advocacy for his wellbeing were nothing short of amazing.
