Weather ices Costello town hall meeting
Downingtown event off; tickets will be good for Saturday event in Berks
DOWNINGTOWN » Count U.S. Rep. Ryan Costello and his latest town hall meeting as another victim of “bombogenesis.”
Costello, R-6 of West Goshen, cancelled his scheduled constituent town hall meeting in Downingtown Thursday night in the wake of the massive storm that slammed much of the region and East Coast.
Costello made the announcement Thursday afternoon that he was scrapping the town hall meeting that was set for Thursday night at Downingtown West High
School. The congressman invited those with tickets for the Downingtown meeting to attend his town hall Saturday in Berks County. That event will be held at the Wyomissing Junior/Senior High School at 630 Evans Avenue in Wyomissing, Pa. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. and the town hall starts at 1:30 p.m.
This will be the 13th town hall Costello has held this year for constituents in a variety of formats, and is in addition to the nearly 500 constituent meetings,
roundtables, and community office hours held by his district office. Of those meetings, some were held in Chester County, including his district office in downtown West Chester, as well as in Pottstown.
“The Congressman hopes to reschedule a town hall in the Downingtown region as soon as his schedule permits,” said Communications Director Natalie McLaughlin. “He is in session in Washington, D.C., the next two weeks. We hope to have an announced scheduling in the next two weeks.”
Anyone who wants to attend this town hall in Berks County must register online or by calling Rep. Costello’s West Chester Office at 610-696-2982 by 4 p.m. on Friday. Constituents from Berks County will be given the first opportunity to reserve tickets for the session.
Costello has offices in West Chester, Wyomissing and Washington, D.C.
