Edna Mae Nelson of Glen Mills

Edna Mae Nelson (nee Yoder), 84 of Glen Mills, PA passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Glen Mills Senior Living.

She was the widow of the late Grant E. Nelson, Jr. who left her side, temporarily, in August 2001.

Born May 26, 1933 in West Chester, PA she was the daughter of the late Walter Reuben and Elizabeth Berry Yoder.

She was the fifth of thirteen children and was preceded in death by siblings, Paul Yoder, Eugene Yoder, Ruth Lang, Barbara Malin, Elaine Leary, Richard Yoder, and Janet Venditti. She is survived by her siblings, Clarence Yoder, Donald Yoder, Jane Morgan, Diane Mocella, and Robert Yoder.

She is also survived and will be forever missed by her sons, Grant E. Nelson, III (Loretta J. Myer) of Coatesville, PA and Michael W. Nelson (Eileen) of Aston, PA, grandchildren, Grant IV, Ashley, Drew, Cory (Matt), Christopher and Sean, great-grandchildren, Gwen, Logan and James.

Edna Mae was a longtime, trusted employee of Wyeth Laboratories in West Chester, PA.

She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football and baseball, especially the Eagles and Phillies. She also enjoyed shopping and in recent years became a full-time people watcher.

Relatives and Friends are invited to her visitation Monday, January 8, 2018 from 8:00 am - 10:00 am at the Della-Vecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc., 410 North Church Street, West Chester, PA 19380, 610-696-1181, www.DellaFH.com; followed by her Funeral Service at 10:00 am.

Interment will be held in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer, PA.
