Bills’ McCoy questionab­le for Sunday’s game

ORCHARDPAR­K, N. Y. » Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy is questionab­le for Sunday’s AFC wild- card playoff game against the Jacksonvil­le Jaguars.

McCoy suffered a right ankle injury in Sunday’s 22- 16 win over the Dolphins. Hewas cartedofft­hefield butreturne­dtopractic­eonalimite­d basis Friday. On Thursday, McCoy said hewas feeling “a lot better” but didn’twant tomakeany guarantees about playing. He declined to speak with reporters on Friday.

McCoy is Buffalo’s best andmost consistent offensive playmaker with 1,138 rushing yards and six touchdowns in the regular season. He passed the 10,000- yard rushing mark for his career this year.

Giants interview Patriots defensive coordinato­r

The New York Giants have interviewe­d New England defensive coordinato­r Matt Patricia for their vacant head coaching job.

Patricia met with new general manager Dave Gettleman, Giants co- owner JohnMara and assistant generalman­ager Kevin Abrams on Friday in Foxborough, Massachuse­tts. The trio was also expected to talk with New England offensive coordinato­r Josh McDaniels later in the day.

The Patriots have a first- round bye so their coaching staffcanbe interviewe­d this week.

Patricia is the second person the Giants have interviewe­d. Interim coach Steve Spagnuolo, who replaced Ben McAdoo, kicked off the interviews.

Bears interview Shurmur

LAKEFOREST, ILL. » Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinato­r Pat Shurmur is interviewi­ng for the Chicago Bears’ coaching job.

Shurmur could be a strong candidate considerin­g the Vikings have an effective offense despite early losses of quarterbac­k SamBradfor­d and running back Dalvin Cook on the way to the NFC North championsh­ip.

The Bears are looking to get the most out of QB Mitchell Trubisky. Shurmur helped journeyman Case Keenumemer­ge after Bradford went down.
