William E. K. Davis, MD

William E. K. Davis, MD, of Paoli, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017, at Paoli Hospital at the age of 77. He was the son of the late Martin E. and Jane K. Davis. He attended Henderson High School in West Chester, PA, and Horace Greeley High School Chappaqua, NY, graduating from Horace Greeley in June 1958. Davis received his B.S. degree from Ursinus College in June 1962 and his medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College of Philadelphia. After an internship and a year of General Surgery residence, Dr. Davis spent two years as a physician in the U.S. Army, which included a year in Vietnam during the war and was appointed to the rank of Major. Subsequently, he attended Hahnemann to complete his Urology residency followed by certification from the American Board of Urology. He is a past member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Urologic Association. Dr. Davis practiced Urology in Delaware County for 35 years at Riddle Memorial Hospital, Crozer-Chester Medical Center, and Taylor Hospital. He prided himself on building long term patient-doctor relationships through carefully listening to a patient’s needs. Dr. Davis was an avid golfer and participated in the Trooper Golf Association since 1986. He was a member and an officer of the West Chester Elks Lodge #853; life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #7878; a Mason with the Mt. Pickering Lodge #446 F. & A.M. of Pennsylvania; a social member of the Society Italian-American Club; and a social member of the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company.

Friends and colleagues are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, January 19th at 5:00 p.m. at the Paoli Presbyterian Chapel, 225 S. Valley Rd, Paoli, PA. Interment will be private.
