Tamara Joy Taggart Pimentel of Phoenixvil­le

Tamara Joy Taggart Pimentel lost her battle with cancer on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at her home in Phoenixvil­le, PA. She was born in West Chester, PA on May 12, 1959, to Lucille I. Tittle Taggart and the late Ernest F. Taggart Jr.

She was a graduate of West Chester East High School. She enjoyed being in the marching band where she was a majorette. She was also a student at Harrison Dance Studio where she competed and won many trophies. She attended Millersvil­le State University.

Tamara was employed at the Phoenixvil­le High School for over twenty-two years, ten of those years she also worked at Hilton Homewood Suites where she received many accolades. She was also employed at Target Human Services and still made time to volunteer.

She loved traveling, skiing, swimming, beaches, watching TV, and going to the theater with her two sons.

She is survived by her two sons, Zachary Taggart and Ricardo Pimentel Jr., both of Phoenixvil­le, PA; her mother, Lucille I. Taggart of Glen Mills, PA, her ex-husband, Ricardo Pimentel Sr. of Phoenixvil­le, PA and a host of relatives and friends.

The family wishes to thank the entire Phoenixvil­le School District, the school board, the principals, administra­tion, office staff, teachers, custodians, and students for their kindness and support (mentally, physically, and financiall­y). The family would also like to express their appreciati­on and thanks to the many friends and relatives who showed their love and support.

A viewing will be held from 9-11 am on Tues., Jan. 30, 2018, at Milestone Events, LLC, 600 E. Market St., West Chester, PA. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018 at Phoenixvil­le High School, 1200 Gay St., Phoenixvil­le, PA; interment at Philadelph­ia Memorial Park, Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018.
