Sparked by a career-high 16 points from Terrence Moore, the Golden Rams easily took care of the host Mountainee­rs to notch WCU’s overall record to 18-4 on the year (14-4 in PSAC). It was the thirdstrai­ght that the Golden Rams have scored at least 95.

The road victory keeps WCU in second place in the PSAC Eastern Division and keeps the Rams hopes for a first-round bye alive, while the 44-point win pushes WCU’s winning streak over Mansfield to 16 games in a row.

Powered by five players in double figures, the visiting Golden Rams cruised to the win over the Mountainee­rs to push it’s record to 18-4 overall (15-3 in PSAC). It marks the 22ndstraig­ht for West Chester over Mansfield overall and extends the Golden Rams’ current win streak to 13 games – the longest for a WCU women’s basketball team since the 1971-72 squad strung together 16 in a row under Head Coach Carol Eckman.

The host team started up 5-0 and eventually pushed the advantage to nine points (15-4) with 6:21 to play in the first quarter. Trailing 16-10, the Golden Rams ended the first by outscoring Mansfield 13-0 to take a 23-16 advantage into the second frame. Brown and Isaiah Thomas were named Eastern College Athletic Conference Division II Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week and Freshman of the Week, respective­ly, for their recent performanc­es.

A senior sprinter and long jumper, Brown won the 200-meter dash event at the DeSchriver Invitation­al on Saturday with a time of 22.80 seconds. He also placed fourth in the 55-meter dash with a personal best time of 6.68 seconds. Thomas set a personal best in the mile run at the DeSchriver Invitation­al, placing 13th overall with a time of 4:39.03, shaving nearly 20 seconds off his previous best time set three weeks ago at the Armory in New York. Thomas also ran the third leg on Lincoln’s 4x400 meter relay team which placed third with a season best time of 3:31.31.
