Downingtown Area School District staffer earns certificate
Kristin Johnson, Financial Operations and Analysis Supervisor of the Downingtown Area School District, has earned Certificates of Enhanced Qualifications (CEQ) in the following areas: Facility Management, Human Resources, and School & Community Relations. The Certificates are issued by the Board of Directors of the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials (PASBO). Johnson has a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, and is currently working toward her graduate degree from Wilkes University in School Business Leadership. She has been employed by the district since 2015.
In order to be granted a PASBO CEQ, a school business official must demonstrate a high level of competency in the profession by successfully completing a series of courses in a specialized area of school business leadership. Qualifying courses are offered through a partnership between PASBO and Wilkes University.
PASBO is the state professional association of school business officials whose responsibilities include the business and service functions of public and non-public schools. PASBO’s purposes are to promote the highest standards of ethics and practices in school business administration and to encourage professional development and improvement of individuals engaged in school business management. PASBO is affiliated with the Association of School Business Official International (ASBO).
