UNAUTHORIZ­ED VEHICLE USE » A man who was homeless allegedly took a vehicle that belongs to a resident of the 700 block of Unionville Road in East Marlboroug­h Township on Jan. 26. He refused to give it back for two months, and the owner finally said she did not want the suspect arrested, police said. RETAIL THEFT » A woman in a maroon sedan took a Ninja blender and an Oster blender in her shopping cart and left without paying at Walmart in East Marlboroug­h Township on Dec. 24. When confronted by security, she fled the scene leaving the items in the vestibule, ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL » Oscar Lopez-Ocampo, 23, of Avondale fell asleep at the wheel on East Cypress Street in Kennett Township on Feb. 8 at 4:20 a.m. His car went off the road and struck another at Waywood Beverage, and that caused it to strike another. There were no injuries, police said. FORGERY » Greg Miller, 34, of Landenberg was arrested for using a counterfei­t $100 bill at the Giant in the 800 block of West Baltimore Pike in Penn Township on Jan. 2 at about 9 p.m., police said. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF » Someone threw a rock through the window of a residence in the 1000 block of Ballintree Lane in Pocopson Township on Jan. 22 at 7 p.m., police said. RAPE » Ernesto Rios-Segura, 18, of Avondale and five teenage boys are under investigat­ion in the sexual assault of a 17-year-old female at a party in the 200 block of Church Street in Avondale overnight on Jan. 27. On Feb. 15 charges were filed and warrants were obtained. On Feb. 16, all six suspects were taken into custody, police said. LONDONDERR­Y CRASH » A car traveling east on Londonderr­y Court in Londonderr­y Township on Feb. 14 at 5:47 p.m. attempted to pass another car on the left, but collided with it. No injuries were reported, police said. BURGLARY » Someone took a lawn mower from a shed in the unit block of Olympia Ave. in New London Township on Feb. 15 at 6:02 p.m. It was later determined that it had been taken by a repair company that had mistakenly removed it instead of the neighbors. RETAIL THEFT » Justin Dean Brooks, 22, of Oxford stole four sump pumps valued at $1,396 from Lowes in the 500 block of Hepburn Road in London Grove Township on Nov. 29, 2017 at 1:15 p.m., police said. DRUG POSSESSION » Amanda Nicole Parent, 26, and Quinn Nicholas McGee, 22, both of Wilmington were found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana on West Street Road at Newark Road in West Marlboroug­h Township on Jan. 29 at 12:06 a.m., police said. SIMPLE ASSAULT » A 53-yearold female fro Lincoln University allegedly pulled the finger of a male and bit his arm in the 200 block of Willow Way in Franklin Township on Feb. 6 at 8:41 p.m. police said. PFA VIOLATION » A suspect who had a PFA attempted to contact the victim by telephone in the 500 block of School House Road in East Marlboroug­h Township on Feb. 15 at 7:58 p.m., police said. from a home in the 40 block of Quarry Road in West Nottingham Township on Feb. 6 in the daytime hours, police said. RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY » David Gaunt, 32, of New Castle County, Delaware, was under investigat­ion for DUI and had taken a car without permission. He was involved in a hit and run crash in West Nottingham

Township overnight on Jan. 20 and was taken into custody, police said. DOG FIGHTING » On Feb. 21, a search warrant was executed at a home in Coatesvill­e. As a result of the search, six pit bulls were seized, four rabbits, an ounce of cocaine, a pound of marijuana, several thousand dollars, a .40 caliber pistol, several dog treadmills and various dog medical supplies. The accused was Dowayne Molina, 39, of Coatesvill­e and the incident occurred on East Doe Run Road south of Lenape Unionville Road in East Marlboroug­h Township overnight on Nov. 22, 2017, police said.

PUBLIC DRUNKENNES­S » Police cited Carol Davis, 44, of Kennett Square, for public drunkennes­s following a disturbanc­e at 12:31 p.m. on Jan. 25 in the 100 block South Willow Street. Davis was released to a relative, police said.

FRAUD » Police are investigat­ing Access Device Fraud reported on Thurs. ½5/18 by a resident of the 600 block of Linden Circle. A resident reported that on Jan. 11, someone used their debit card to purchase two Apple iPads and two Apple watches totaling $1,458.56 at the Walmart in Exton. This person also used their American Express card to purchase $595.23 worth of merchandis­e, police said. TIRES SLASHED » Sometime on either Jan. 24 or Jan. 25 tires were slashed on a vehicle parked in the 300 block Walnut Court Way in Kennett Square, police said. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF » Police arrested Carol Davis, 44, of Kennett Square, for burglary, two counts of criminal trespass, criminal mischief, unauthoriz­ed use of an automobile and public drunkennes­s. Davis entered a residence in the 300 block East State Street, took car keys and used the vehicle, broke the safety chain

on the door and destroyed miscellane­ous items. He was video-arraigned by the on-call District Court and was released on $25,000 unsecured bail, police said. HARASSMENT » Police cited David Pryce III, 49, Kennett Square, for harassment on Jan. 25 at 11:31 p.m. after repeated contact with a subject he had been warned not to contact, police said. DISORDERLY CONDUCT » Police cited Leroy Boddy, 57, of Kennett Square for disorderly conduct following a disturbanc­e in the 400 block Magnolia Street on Jan. 30 at 12:49 a.m., police said. PACKAGE THEFT » Police are investigat­ing the report of a black male wearing a puffy jacket and blue jeans, approximat­ely 30 years old, driving a gold older model sedan going through delivered packages on properties in the 600 block West Mulberry Street on Jan. 31 between 3:20 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., police said.
