Crafts galore Owen J. Roberts Middle School:

Browse works by 75 artisans from the tri-state area at the Owen J. Roberts Friends of the Arts Annual Craft Show 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 3-4 at the school, 881 Ridge Road, Pottstown. The Owen J. Roberts elementary and high school art teachers will also be showcasing student artwork throughout the school. Bause Catered Events will be serving luncheon fare to dine in or take out. Admission is $5, free to children 12 and under.

Meet the author Chester County Library:

Meet Ann Atkins, author of “Marie Curie - A Nobel Life” in the Struble Room of the Chester County Library at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14. Atkins will take the audience through Marie Curie’s childhood in Poland as she endures Russian oppression. She will explore the harsh lessons learned as a young governess. Setting course to study science at the Sorbonne, Marie upsets the status quo of a male dominated world. Rising from ashes more than once, Marie’s life surpasses scientific discoveries and world fame. Marie’s story inspires the audience who believe like her, they are “gifted for something.”
