Community Mental Health Clinic opens
West Chester University’s Community Mental Health Clinic held a ribbon cutting and open house.
West Chester University’s Community Mental Health Clinic has been serving clients since August but conducted a formal ribbon cutting and open house for the campus and community on March 9. Pictured at the event are those principally responsible for the clinic’s existence, from left to right: Jeffery Osgood, Laurie Bernotsky, Vanessa Johnson, President Chris Fiorentino, Clinic Director Leanne Valentine. Open to the community, the clinic is a nonprofit training and research facility, and therefore can offer affordable cutting-edge psychotherapy and testing for children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families from all backgrounds with specializations in trauma-related disorders and child and adolescent mental health. The faculty supervisors are experienced, licensed psychologists and one is bilingual and supervises the doctoral students who see Spanish-speaking clients. The clinic is located at 125 West Rosedale Avenue on the eighth floor of Wayne Hall on West Rosedale Avenue. Free parking is available in the lot in front of the building. To schedule an appointment or for more information, call 610-436-2510 or visit the WCU Community Mental Health Clinic website.
