West Chester opened its spring season in Cambridge, ending the day with a 1-3 record, falling to Army twice and Harvard once while defeating Molloy by a final score of 47-0.

The first game of the day for West Chester was against the ArmyWest Point B squad and while the Golden Rams battled all game long the Black Knights proved to be too much as they prevailed by a final score of 17-5. Lili Riley registered the lone try for West Chester in the loss.

In game two, West Chester bounced right back with a 47-0 drubbing of Molloy to improve to 1-1, which also kept the team in contention for a chance to play for the cup later Saturday afternoon. Aalea Ray was the leading scorer for the Golden Rams with four tries and two conversion­s for a total of 24 points.

In the final game of pool play, West Chester came up against Harvard losing by a final score of 41-0 to set up a rematch with Army-West Point B in the Plate Semifinal.

Following pool play, West Chester was seeded seventh out of 12 teams and moved into the bracket for the Plate division. The first match was a rematch with ArmyWest Point B. Riley scored another two tries and two conversion­s including a clutch try as time expired off a pass from Juah Toe, which forced sudden victory overtime. In sudden victory overtime, the Black Knights broke through just two minutes into the extra session to come away with the 24-19 victory. Harley Divine also added a try of her own in the loss.
