Harold R. Houck of Wagontown

Harold R. Houck, 99 yrs., of Wagontown, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at his home.

He was born on July 29, 1918 in Coatesville. Harold was the son of the late Chester M. and Hannah E. (Miller) Houck. He was the husband of the late Margaret I. (Newlin) Houck, who died on August 26, 2012.

Harold was a lifetime resident of Wagontown. He was a retired carpenter, who enjoyed time at the Wayback hunting cabin in Potter County. Harold was a member of the Brandywine Goddard Lodge # 383 F.&A.M.

He was preceded in death by a son, Richard Houck and nine siblings.

Harold is survived by two sons, Robert (Arlene) Houck of Coatesville and James V. Houck of Paradise, and two sisters, Donna Kieffer of Honey Brook and Loraine McAfee of Coventry. There are five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 11 AM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook, Pa., with Rev. Raymond Leslie officiating. Interment will follow at the Honey Brook Methodist Cemetery. A calling hour will be held one hour prior to the service.
