James J. ‘Jim’ Jordan of Malvern

James J. “Jim” Jordan of Malvern, Pennsylvan­ia passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the age of 95. Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 72 years, Mary Beryl Werkheiser Jordan.

Jim was the owner of Jordan and Company, CPAs until his retirement in 1989. He was a graduate of Lansdowne High School. He was a 1943 graduate of St. Joseph’s College, and he later received his CPA license in 1947. He was a Lieutenant in the US Navy during WWII, in the Pacific Theatre.

He was an active member of Paoli Presbyteri­an Church where he served as an elder and a trustee. He was also a member of the Paoli-Berwyn-Malvern Lions club.

He and his wife resided in Naples, FL for 18 years where he was a member of Moorings Presbyteri­an Church and also served as president of the Immokalee Child Care Center.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Deena Serafin, of Lawrencevi­lle, GA; daughter, Meryl (Charles “Jeff’) Moore, of Portsmouth RI; daughter, JoAnn (Brian) Boham, of Marietta, GA, son, Charles (Denise) Jordan, of Downingtow­n, PA; and son, William (Ellen) Jordan, of Malvern, PA, with whom he lived, and his brother, Leo B. Jordan, of Lansdale, PA. He is also survived and dearly loved by 15 grandchild­ren and 16 great-grandchild­ren.

A Celebratio­n of Life will be held at a later date.
