Shirley Crosby Stevens of Exton

Shirley Crosby Stevens, 84, of Exton, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Bryn Mawr Hospital. She was the beloved wife of M. John Stevens, with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.

Born in Durham, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late C. Murphy and J. Ann Ligon Crosby.

In addition to her husband, Shirley is survived by her children, Keith Stevens and Julia Stevens (Eric Cobb); two grandchildren, Anne and Mary Stevens; a step-grandchild, Alicia Stout; a sister, four brothers and a host of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers and sisters and her daughter-inlaw, Jeanne Stevens.

Shirley worked as an office manager for Suburban Propane before retiring in 1999. She was devoted to her family and will be remembered for how generously she shared her love and laughter.

A visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the James J. Terry Funeral Home, 736 E. Lancaster Avenue, Downingtown. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Ontario, NY. A Celebration of Life will be held at her childhood church in Catawba, SC at a later date.
