Frank A. Fillippo of Audubon, PA, formerly of Malvern

Frank A. Fillippo, of Audubon, PA, passed away on Monday, March 26th, 2018. He was 85 years-old. Frank was originally from the Malvern Area of Chester County and attended Conestoga High School. He was a veteran of the US Navy, proudly serving from 1954-57. From a young age, Frank worked for his Uncle Thomas Fillippo at The Devault Meat Packing Company, known today as Devault Foods, in Devault, PA for several years buying cattle and other livestock, while also working as a butcher. In 1968, he left the company to break out on his own as an independen­t dealer, running his own successful business for 45 years. He was a member of St Teresa of Avila Parish for 50 years, and was an active contributo­r to both the school and the church.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 54 years, Lillian (Iacovetti), a daughter Michele A Fillippo of Jeffersonv­ille, and two sons, Francis J and Stephen A of Phoenixvil­le. He was preceeded in death by his parents, Frank and Margaret (Daisley), and two sisters, Maryanne Marchionne and Margaret Chiccino, both of Malvern.

A Viewing for family and friends is scheduled for Monday, April 2nd from 6-8pm at the Volpe Funeral Home at 707 W. Germantown Pike, Norristown. A Funeral Mass is planned for Tuesday, April 3rd at St. Teresa of Avila Church in West Norriton at 10am. Before Mass, a Viewing from 8:45-9:45am will be held at the church. Burial will be at St. Patricks Cemetery in Norristown.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that memorial contributi­ons be made to the St Jude Children’s Hospital, Stjude.org.
