Edith M. DiSanti of West Chester died peacefully at Paoli Memorial Hospital on April 5, 2018, at the age of 89.

Born and raised on Wayne Street in West Chester, she was the daughter of the late Giaconda and Pietro DiSanti.

Edith was a life-long, active member of St. Agnes Church who attended the 6:30 a.m. mass daily. She graduated from West Chester High School in 1947 and worked as an office manager for Chemical Leaman Tank Lines until she retired in 1991.

Edith was extremely energetic, active, and wellknown in the community. She was completely committed to her faith, family and friends. Edith was a beloved aunt to 20 nieces and nephews and their children and was a cherished neighbor and friend. She was an extraordin­ary woman who generously cared for so many, serving others in her daily acts of kindness.

Edith was an avid pro and college sports enthusiast and loved gardening, cooking and baking. She especially enjoyed her monthly luncheons with friends. Along with her nieces and nephews, Edith is survived by her brother, Francis DiSanti. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Elmer DiSanti, and her sisters, Carmela Massimini and Mary Ferrier.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Wednesday April 11, 2018 from 8:30-9:45 am at the St. Agnes Church 233 West Gay Street West Chester where her Funeral Mass will begin at 10am. Interment will take place at the St. Agnes Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Agnes Church at the above address.
