Sunset Hill Fine Arts Gallery will host a large exhibit of paintings by local artist Harry Dunn, on Friday May 4.

Sunset Hill Fine Arts Gallery, 23 North High St., West Chester, will host a large exhibit of paintings available for purchase by beloved local artist Harry Dunn, on Friday May 4 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunset Hill Fine Arts Gallery is the presenting sponsor of the Downtown West Chester Gallery Walk.

Nearly 100 wonderfully colorful, nostalgic and whimsical works of Dunn’s art awaits visitors and collectors.

Inspired by all things around him, Dunn’s diverse artistic style found him working in many mediums including acrylic, ink, collage and primitive stamps. The collection represents 50 years of Dunn’s career and is just as popular in today’s home as it was then. A house is not a home without art, and Dunn painted to make people smile.

After serving in the U.S. Army as an illustrator, Dunn worked in advertising and is credited with creating the NBC peacock and the cartoon character Mr. Magoo.

Dunn’s legacy and spirit lives on through his paintings and the Harry Dunn Memorial Art Scholarship. To date, over $60,000 has been awarded to graduating art students from area high schools.

The tribute to Harry Dunn exhibit is free to the public and available through May 26. Sunset Hill Art Gallery is located on the second floor of the Sunset Hill building.
