EAST NORRITON » Together, they aim to provide a more gratifying breast cancer screening process for their patients.

On the heels of an announcement last fall, Einstein Healthcare Network has “gone live” with its partnership with Solis Mammography, the nation’s largest independent provider of breast imaging services, in an effort to upgrade the patient experience at its mammography centers in the Philadelphia region.

The centers, now jointly managed by Einstein Healthcare Network and Solis Mammography, are fully in operation at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery’s Women’s Center, 700 W. Germantown Pike, East Norriton; Einstein Healthcare Network King of Prussia Outpatient Care Center, 210 Mall Boulevard; and at the Marion-Louise Saltzman Women’s Center, Einstein Medical Center, 5501 Old York Road, Philadelphia.

“This is a joint venture partnership between two companies with a long history of providing breast imaging services and we are delighted to have reached this phase in our partnership with Solis Mammography, which combines the best of Einstein’s clinical excellence with Solis’ signature patientcentric services and focus on preventative care,” noted Beth Duffy, Chief Operating Officer for Einstein Medical Center Montgomery, explaining that Solis provides the management, with Einstein offering the clinical side of the arrangement, through its technologists and radiologists.

“From the Einstein perspective, we do breast imaging as part of our core mission and it’s something that the Einstein Healthcare Network has been involved in for many years. We have two sites currently in the Einstein Montgomery market where we provide these services, at our Women’s Center on Germantown Pike in East Norriton, and at our King of Prussia Outpatient facility on mall Boulevard. Solis also has a long history of providing these services across the country. Their model is one of high touch that is really focused on the patient experience and improving access

to these services. It is not a service that is pleasant,” Duffy added, “but one that is necessary, and we believe that by bringing the resources that Einstein has and the reputation that we

have, with the Solis model of accessibility that we will be able to provide these services to many more women in a highly satisfying model.”

Upgrades to the sites can be found in the furnishings and the overall ambience, Duffy said.

“It will also be much easier to schedule an appointment,

much easier to get the results of her study, on the same day. We want to be able to get feedback from our patients through immediate survey tools as well.”

Announcements about additional sites showcasing the Solis-Einstein collaboration to be opened were expected in the near

future, Duffy allowed.

“Our newly renovated Solis Mammography center will offer a full range of services, all in an environment uniquely designed to promote patient relaxation and peace of mind,” noted Ted Bucknam, Chief Operating Officer for Solis Mammography. “Solis Mammography’s researchbased

brand promise is centered on comfort, convenience, and ease, so that women are more likely to prioritize scheduling annual screening mammography to promote and preserve breast health.”

According to a press release, Einstein stands at the forefront in diagnostic imaging for early

detection of breast cancer, having conducted research that helped advance the use of three-dimensional mammography (digital breast tomosynthesis), which has become the standard diagnostic method in use today, as well as pioneering the use of other diagnostic technologies.
