SOUTHERN CHESTER COUNTY REGIONAL POLICE

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

» Jamie Billman, age 40, of Lancaster was charged with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device, and Cosmetic Act, and with Recklessly Endangerin­g Another Person, after a nearly yearlong investigat­ion into the delivery of heroin into the Bowling Green Brandywine Treatment Center, via US Mail. The incident occurred on 04/11/2017 at 1375 Newark Road, in New Garden Township. Police were dispatched to the location for a medical emergency. Upon arrival, police met with medical staff from the facility, as they were rendering aid to a 35 year old male patient, who was unconsciou­s from a suspected overdose. The patient was revived and advised that he had ingested a dose of heroin that he received, hidden in an Easter card, mailed to him by a female friend. With the assistance of the Chester County Detectives and the US Postal Inspector, Billman was identified as the suspect. Charges were filed in MDC 15-4-04 on 03/23/2018 and an arrest warrant was issued. Billman surrendere­d to police on 03/30/2018. She was processed and arraigned, after which she was released on $50,000.00 unsecured bail, police said.

DUI » A 29-year-old male from Newark, Del., was passed out behind the wheel in the 600 block of Newport-Gap Pike in London Grove Township on April 30 at 8:03 p.m. He was found to be under the influence, and charges were filed.

DRUGS » Police were called to a report of a domestic in the 100 block of Circle Drive in West Nottingham on March 17. They arrived and found female barricaded in a bedroom apparently defending herself from the entrance of a male with a baseball bat. A third party in the house had a gun. When police talked with the male, he said the female was in the house. When the police went in, they found drugs and drug parapherna­lia in the house, police said.

DAMAGE » A 17-year-old driver from Boothwyn caused damage when he drove through a field along Cossart Road in Pennsbury Township on May 4 at 5:30 p.m., police said.

BEER BOTTLE » Someone threw a beer bottle through a window in the 200 block of Media Road in East Nottingham Township on April 11 overnight, police said.

DUI » Michael Anthony O’Donnell, 22, was found to be driving under the influence in the 400 block of Commons Drive in Lower Oxford Township on May 3 at 12:44 a.m., police said.

DUI » A 37=year-old woman was found to be intoxicate­d after having driven with her 1-year-old son in the back seat in the 300 block of South Jennersvil­le Road in New London Township on May 7 at 2:19 p.m., police said.

BURGLARY » Four men, Darryl Glasco, Kevin Luna-Zavala and Mark Shorts, all of Kennett Square, and Aaron Harrison of Elkton, Maryland, attempted to rob several homes in the 100 block of Mercer Mill Road in London Britain Township on April 11 in the morning hours. Unsuccessf­ul in the homes, they took items from a tow style camper in a driveway. All suspects were taken into custody, police said.

CHILD ABUSE » a suspect committed a lewd act against his brothers in Lower Oxford at an undetermin­ed date and time, police said.

SEXUAL ABUSE » A suspect uploaded child pornograph­y in Londonderr­y Township on a withheld date and time, police said.

DUI » Kwame Gyekeye Kusi-Ampofo, 25, of New Castle, Delaware, was stopped on Route 1 in London Grove Township on April 6 at 12:56 a.m. and found to be DUI, police said.

THEFT » Someone took a cell phone from a victim’s shopping cart in the 500 block of School House Road in East Marlboroug­h Township on May 4 at 12:56 p.m., police said.

CRASH » Felty Knickerboc­ker, 24, of Cochranvil­le failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign on Street Road in Upper Oxford Township on May 3 at 11:28 a.m. and struck another car. A passenger in the struck car was taken to Jennersvil­le Hospital, police said.
