WEST CHESTER » Police have identified two suspects who viciously attacked two men outside a bar just after midnight on May 6 in West Chester.

The suspects, both men from the area, have been identified through surveillance and are expected to turn themselves in early next week with their lawyers, according to Scott Whiteside, West Chester detective.

The attack was so brutal, both were rushed to the hospital, and one still has his jaw wired shut.

The attack occurred when one man was walking with his friends near the Landmark Americana restaurant on West Gay Street and accidentally bumped into a

group of people. As a result, the man who bumped into the person punched him so hard, he was knocked to the ground, hitting his head on the pavement and lost consciousness. The man was hospitalized, required stitches in his head and suffered a concussion.

Police said the man’s friend who was walking with him was also attacked

by the two men, and his jaw was broken.

Both men have been released from the Chester County Hospital.

Whiteside said none of the patrons inside the Landmark Americana were injured as the entire attack occurred just outside.

The men will be arrested, and face a host of charges, when they turn themselves in, Whiteside said.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact West Chester police at 610696-2700.
