Man arrested for beating baby
Nicholas Marigliano charged with aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child
WEST GOSHEN » A Havertown man has been arrested for beating and seriously hurting his three- month- old child.
Nicholas Marigliano, 27, of Havertown, was arrested and charged with felony counts of aggravated assault, endangering the welfare of a child and related charges, police said.
According to police, the assault on the child took place June 15. At 5: 13 p. m., police were dispatched to a medical emergency at 1210 Gail Road in West Goshen. The initial report indicated that the victim was a 3- month- old baby and was unconscious.
Medical personnel responded to the home immediately, and transported the baby to Chester County Hospital.
While being treated at the hospital, the baby was diagnosed with serious injuries and was subsequently transferred to Nemours- Alfred duPont Hospital for Children in Delaware, where the child remains.
Marigliano works at American Alarm Technology, according to a public profile on his Facebook page. However, workers at the Springfield Township, Delaware County firm could not confirm his employment.
Marigliano also listed past employment at Malany Electric, a former residential electrician at Pusey Electric, a former material handling employee at DePuy Syn-
thes- Johnson and Johnson, a former parts driver at Videon Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM, and a former sales associate at Kohl’s.
Marigliano also posted that he studied liberal arts at Delaware County Community College, and attended Upper Darby High School.

CURFEW VIOLATION » On June 16 at 2: 11 a. m., Coatesville police were conducting routine patrol in the
area of South Third Avenue and Harmony Street when they came across two young juvenile females, ages 13 and 14, walking in the roadway. One of the juveniles was released to a parent at the scene and the other was transported to the Coatesville Police Station where she was held until released to a guardian. Both juveniles were cited with violating the City of Coatesville Curfew Ordinance. With summer break in full swing, Coatesville police would like to remind all parents and juveniles that the Curfew Ordinance takes effect and is enforced starting at 9 p. m. on Sunday through Thursday and at 10 p. m. on Fridays and Saturdays. DRUG ARREST » On June 15 at 1: 53 a. m., Coatesville police conducted a traffic stop on Pennsylvania Avenue. During the course of the stop, officers came into contact with the front- seat passenger of the vehicle, identified as Jushua Johnson, 22, of Strode Avenue in Coatesville. Johnson was found to be in possession of crack- cocaine and marijuana and was arrested
and transported to Coatesville Police Department where he was held pending arraignment.

Residents are reminded that unsolicited phone calls involving threats of prosecution by the IRS, Social Security, or other government agencies are scams. Police said do not, under any circumstances, provide any personal information, banking information, or any sensitive information about you, or a family member, to anyone calling you on the phone. Police said there are no legitimate reasons for any business to accept “giftcards” for financial transactions. If you suspect that you are being scammed, call police.
