Downingtown shuts out Paoli
Mike Mollenhauer had four RBI and two doubles while Carter Rieben and John Facciolo combined to throw seven inningsof shutoutball to leadundefeated Downingtown to a 9- 0 win over Paoli.
The Diamond Dawgs moved to 7- 0 with the victory.

ENGLUND’S 8, CRAWDADS6 » Englund’s Apparel used a four- run fifth inning, highlighted by home runs from Mike Douglas and Chris Cowell, to break open a close game in taking theWest Chester Adult Baseball League win.
The Crawdads made things interesting with a four- run, bottom of the seventh before Englund’s starter and winner Brad Canan got the final out. Colin Adams’ two- out, two- run home run brought the Crawdads to within two and when Nick Campana walked, it brought the tying run to the plate. However, Canan induced Parker Abate to ground out for the final out.
The Crawdads pounded out 12 hits, including two each by Ryan McCormick, Justin Lamborn ( two doubles), BryanMulhern, Adams and Campana.
Cowell had three hits for Englund’s, who totaled nine hits off a trio of Crawdad hurlers. Jack Fiala took the loss, yielding two hits and two runs in four innings.
