Krystyna (Kontorowicz) Matlack of Chester Springs
Krystyna (Kontorowicz) Matlack lost her battle to cancer on Wednesday, June 20th, 2018. Krystyna was surrounded by friends and family the afternoon that she passed. She was married to Randolph H. Matlack who she spent 29 wonderful years with.
Krystyna was born in Trenton, New Jersey on July 18th, 1959 raised by Helena and Robert Kontorowicz. She graduated from Notre Dame high school in 1977 and Trenton State in 1981 with her BA/BS in nursing. After, she continued her education at Penn State to receive her MA in hospital administration. After years of nursing, Krys began working for her husband’s company Matlack Associates as a secretary. In her free time, she loved being with family, reading, and traveling. Krys fought for a long time, encountering many different obstacles in her life. She is described by friends and family as one of the strongest people they knew. She fought her fight with a smile on her face and never had a single complaint.
Krystyna is survived by her husband Randolph Matlack, daughter Alyssa Matlack, mother Helena Kontorowicz, father-in-law Harvey Matlack, sister Alicia Edwardson (Todd), sister-inlaw Carol Aubert (James), brother-in-law William Matlack (Kim) and eight nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 29th at 11:00 AM at Saint Agnes Church in West Chester. Refreshments following the service will be held at The Elks Club in West Chester.
