Lucia M. “Lucy” DiValerio of West Chester, PA, and formerly from Havertown, PA, died on July 6, 2018. Lucy was the wife of the late Anthony “Herby” DiValerio. She is survived by her loving children: Maria Nercesian (Rick), Anthony J. Jr., (Linda) and Valerie Macartney (Dan), in addition to her cherished grandchild­ren: Nicole and Matt Cahill (Meghan), A.J., Alex and Morgan DiValerio, Michael and Nicholas Vandevere, and Daniel Macartney.

Lucy was the sister of Nicholas Quercetti (Marie), Marie Trotter, and Jenny Sedei, as well as the late Vincent Quercetti, Florence Finelli, and Anthony Quercetti.

After graduating from Overbrook High School in 1949, Lucy became a hairdresse­r, eventually opening her own salon in Havertown. She was also a teacher’s aide at Overbrook School for the Blind for ten years. After spending a relaxing 12 years of retirement in Florida with Herby, Lucy enjoyed time with her family and her friends at the West Chester Area Senior Center. She also had many friends at Bellingham Senior Living, where she resided for the past 5 years. Lucy was blessed with amazing childhood girlfriend­s, who have become like sisters after a lifetime of friendship. Services will be private. Arrangemen­ts by the D’Anjolell Memorial Home of Broomall
