Robert Barovich of Phoenixville

Robert Barovich, 82, of Phoenixville, passed away on Tuesday at his home. Born in Wilkes-Barre on Jan. 8, 1936, he was the son of the late Vaso & Anna Barovich. Bob was a graduate of Wilkes College & served in the US National Guard. He worked on contracts for the US Department of Defense, until his retirement & was a member of St. Basil the Great Church, Kimberton. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronald, Donald & Johnny Barovich. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 53 years; Patricia (Zavaskas) Barovich, daughters; Lisa O’Brien & husband Patrick, Sharon McDonnell & husband Dana, son; Darren Barovich & wife Pauline, 8 grandchildren, brother; Andrew Barovich & wife Lois, several nieces & nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 am from the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley. A Mass of Christian Burial is at 10 am in St. Leo’s/Holy Rosary Church, Ashley. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp. Family & friends may call on Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 am.
