A free Fitness Series featuring a variety of workouts begins on Saturday with a view of Marsh Creek.

“I would love for this series to motivate people to get outside, try something new, meet new people in their community, and find fitness fun and engaging.” - Angie Weldon, coordinator of the free fitness series

UWCHLAN » A free Fitness Series featuring Crossfit, Yoga, variety of agility and training style workouts, and more, begins on Saturday with a view of Marsh Creek.

With help from trainers at five gyms in the Downingtown area, the workout series will be available to community members. Angie Weldon created the summer series to share her love of fitness.

“I love trying new and challenging workouts, but often don’t take the time to go to new gyms,” Weldon said. “I thought a fitness series would be a fun way for people in the community to checkout a different gym each week during the series.”

Classes will be held outdoors on Saturday, July 14, 21, and 28 at 9 a.m. at the Dowlin Forge Station Community at 420 Creek Road in Uwchlan Township. Water will be provided. All fitness levels are welcomed. She said the element of spending time outside and

exercising with new people in the community is “going to be great experience for beginners and fitness enthusiasts alike.”

Weldon said that the gym trainers who are helping with the series are giving their time and talent and they are “amazing people who truly care about getting people active.” Each gym will be giving full classes during the series and many of the gyms will have special promotions for attendees. The following gyms are providing classes: Maxout Fitness of Exton, Parisi Speed School, Training for Warriors, Summit Fitness and Crossfit Elation.

“I would love for this series to motivate people to get outside, try something new,” Weldon said, “meet new people in their community, and find fitness fun and engaging.”

This is a first time event and Weldon hopes to have a great turnout so they can plan for another series in the fall.

The series is sponsored by the Gary Mercer Group. For more information, contact Sharra Mercer at 610324-9416 or sharra@garymercergroup.com.
