Hilton breaks ground for another new hotel
It will be a Tru by Hilton, located at 825 Forge Ave, near another Hilton property, Homewood Suites.
LOWER PROVIDENCE »Hot on the heels of the recent mini strip mall opening that gave us Starbucks, Sprint and Firehouse Subs, The Audubon Square Expansion continues to unfold.
Right behind Firehouse Subs and its neighbors, Hilton and Audubon Land Development broke ground recently on a Tru by Hilton, located at 825 Forge Ave., near another Hilton property, Homewood Suites.
A press release noted that this marks the fourth Hilton branded hotel to join Audubon Land Development’s ever growing Pennsylvania hospitality portfolio which, in addition to Homewood Suites by Hilton Philadelphia/Valley Forge, now includes Hilton Garden Inn Valley Forge/Oaks and Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Valley Forge/Oaks.
The 121-room, five-story hotel is expected to be completed in the fall of 2019.
“Tru by Hilton fills a void in the mid scale category, and we’re
delighted to bring this exciting new Hilton brand to life,” said Tony D’Orsogna of Audubon Land Development. “It will add to the lodging offerings in the Valley Forge area and provide a new option for travelers
who believe that being cost conscious and having a great stay don’t have to be mutually exclusive.”
With more than 30 locations across the country, the lodging with the conspicuous contemporary branding features “amenities and experiences that matter most to guests,” according to Hilton, such as comfortable
beds, efficiently designed rooms and bathrooms with premium bath amenities, top-rate in-room entertainment, a heated indoor pool and fitness center and a complimentary breakfast bar with enticements from waffles and sausage to yogurt and oatmeal.
The tech-savvy Tru by Hilton hotels also feature
mobile check-in, Digital Key, free Wi-Fi, remote printing, a social media wall, lobby and market tablets and accessibility to multiple outlets.
An “Eat & Sip” market situated in the lobby areas offer guests access to gourmet snacks and drinks round the clock.
Audubon Land Development Corp. is described as
“a family owned and operated business with over 50 years of development, building and management experience.” Audubon Land affiliates have built more than 3,000 homes in eastern Pennsylvania, as well as many commercial facilities including apartment complexes, the Audubon Square Shopping Center, home of a Giant
supermarket; the 422 Business Center, The Hilton Garden Inn at Oaks, the Marketplace at Oaks, including Target, Lowe’s and Regal Cinemas and the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center in Oaks.
Also under development, is the 2,500 unit Shannondell Retirement Community, with 1,000 units completed.
