Man arrested in connection with robbery

A Cheyney man was arrested in connection with the robbery of a West Chester residence.

WEST CHESTER » A Cheyney man was arrested in connected with a robbery of a West Chester residence on Dec. 18, 2017.

On that date, West Chester Police responded to a residence in the 400 block of South Walnut Street for a reported robbery. Upon arrival multiple victims inside an apartment were located and reported that four to five unknown subjects forced their way inside their apartment while they were home and forced them to the ground at gunpoint. Once the victims were on the ground the suspects took various electronic equipment and cash before fleeing the residence.

West Chester Police conducted an investigat­ion and as a result, Tyrone Pringle, 18, of Cheyney, was identified as one of the suspects who was involved in the robbery.

Pringle was arrested and released on bail pending a preliminar­y hearing. Police reports from across the region:

DUI » Brian K. Brown, 48, of Joppa Town, Maryland, was arrested and charged with DUI and related traffic offenses, following a traffic stop for moving violations. The incident occurred on July 12 at 11:26 p.m., in the 6700 block of Limestone Road, in New Garden Township. Police on stationary patrol observed a 2010 Cadillac pass them at a high rate of speed. Smith, 51, of West Grove was arrested and charged with Arrest Prior to Requisitio­n, after police learned, during a traffic stop, that he was wanted by the Maryland State Police, as a Fugitive from Justice on an outstandin­g Bench Warrant. The incident occurred on July 15 at 9:36 p.m., on

West Evergreen Street at Woodland Avenue, in West Grove Borough. The warrant was confirmed and Smith was taken into custody. He was transporte­d to Central Booking to be held pending arraignmen­t and extraditio­n. DRUG CHARGES » Maxwell J. Henry, 20, of Landenberg was arrested and charged with violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device, and Cosmetic Act, Criminal Mischief, underage possession of an alcoholic beverage, and two traffic offenses. The incident occurred on 0July 16 at 8:08 a.m., at East Evergreen Street and Chatham Road, in West Grove Borough.

Police stopped a 2003 Buick for a non-functionin­g brake light and for failing to use a turn signal. PUBLIC DRUNKENNES­S » Modesto Bernal, 56, of West Grove was cited for public drunkennes­s, after he was observed staggering along the unit block of Oakland Avenue, in West Grove Borough, and falling face down in the roadway, causing injuries to his face. A citizen witnessed the incident and called police. Bernal was found to be under the influence of alcohol and had alcoholic beverages on his person. He was transporte­d to the hospital by West Grove Fire Company Ambulance.
