Chester County Sheriff’s Office nabs 9 fugitives

The Chester County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehensi­on Unit had a busy July, apprehendi­ng nine fugitives for offenses ranging from failure to pay child support to failure to appear at trial. Three may face additional charges for attempting to hide.

On July 3, sheriff’s deputies arrested Ashley Mastrangel­o, 29, of Phoenixvil­le, at an address in the first block of Franklin Avenue in Phoenixvil­le Borough. Mastrangel­o had a bench warrant for an alleged violation of probation/parole.

The same day, Julian Laird, 38, of Valley Township, was taken into custody at an address in the 1400 block of Brick Road in Valley Township. Deputies were originally on location to locate another wanted individual, but during their investigat­ion they learned that Laird had three summary warrants for his arrest.

On July 6, deputies arrested Jack Mahard at an address in the unit block of Boone Court in Pottstown Borough, Montgomery County. Mahard, 22, of Pottstown, initially fled and barricaded himself within the residence, but was apprehende­d shortly thereafter by deputies. Mahard had a bench warrant for an alleged violation of probation/parole. Further investigat­ion relating to this incident was turned over to the Pottstown Borough Police Department.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Andrea Burke, 36, of Coatesvill­e, at an address in the first block of Union Street in Modena Borough on July 12. Burke had a bench warrant for failing to appear for trial.

Also on July 12, deputies arrested Kim Santobianc­o at an address in the first block of Third Avenue in the City of Coatesvill­e. Santobianc­o, 58, of Coatesvill­e, had a bench warrant from Delaware County for failing to appear for trial.

On July 19, deputies arrested Kelly McGinnis, 41, of Coatesvill­e, at an address in the 100 block of Oak Lane in West Caln Township. McGinnis had a bench warrant for an alleged violation of probation/parole and two warrants from Lancaster County for an alleged violation of probation/parole and failure to pay child support.

On July 26, deputies arrested Michael Detwiler, 31, of East Vincent Township, at an address in the 100 block of Pennhurst Road in East Vincent Township. Detwiler attempted to hide within the residence, but deputies quickly located him. He had a bench warrant for an alleged violation of probation/parole. Further investigat­ion was turned over to the East Vincent Township Police Department.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kevin Brown at an address on the 500 block of Harmony Street in the City of Coatesvill­e on July 29. Brown, 22, of Coatesvill­e attempted to hide, but was quickly located by deputies. Brown had a bench warrant for an alleged violation of probation/parole. Further investigat­ion was turned over to the Coatesvill­e City Police Department.

On July 29, deputies arrested Raquel Brannock at an address in the 600 block of State Road in Penn Township. Brannock, 41, of West Grove, had a bench warrant for an alleged violation of probation/parole.

All nine defendants were held for dispositio­n at a later date.
