Joann E. Zazo of Coatesville

Joann E. Zazo, 79, of Coatesville died Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Neighborhood Hospice Inpatient Unit, West Chester.

Born in Coatesville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Pomento and Gloria Canale Conover and the wife of James M. Zazo with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.

She was a member of St. Peter Church, West Brandywine.

Joann was an executive secretary at Coca Cola Bottling Company, Coatesville for many years. She retired as a Dental Assistant to Dr. Richard LaMay.

She volunteered countless hours at the former St. Cecilia Church and School. She enjoyed reading, watching the birds in her yard and baking cookies.

In addition to her husband, James, Joann is survived by her two daughters: Susan Walsh and her husband, Terry of Coatesville and Janiece Seldomridge and her husband, Jeffrey of Narvon; 3 grandchildren: Andrew Leshak and Lindsay Walsh and Aaron Seldomridge; and one greatgrandson Michael James Leshak.

She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Pomento.

Joann’s funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 10am at St. Peter Church 2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine. Visitation will begin at 9 am.

Interment will be private.
