Coatesville church to host monthly breakfast events

Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd is also beginning a new Sunday School program

COATESVILLE » The Bible says, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”

Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd members are inviting the community members to a monthly pancake breakfast at the church held in the Church Fellowship Hall at 107 South 17th Avenue in Coatesville City. The community breakfast will be held on the third Saturday of every month, starting on Sept. 15, from 8 to 10 a.m.

Pancakes, french toast, bacon, sausage, eggs/omelets made to order, hash browns, dry beef gravy, baked goods and fruit will be served, along with coffee, tea and juice.

Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd will return to its regular worship schedule: two services of Holy Communion, at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., with Sunday School at 9:15 a.m. starting this Sunday, Sept. 9. Members of the community are cordially invited to join the worship and education.

The “Know Live Share” Sunday School will begin that Sunday in the church Fellowship Hall and will be a cross-generational event. Organizers said folks of all ages can expect an exciting morning of fun, fellowship and food. After the first week together, the group will break up into smaller traditional Sunday School groups and later will blend into the larger group several times during the year.
