MAN FOUND MURDERED ON ROADSIDE
Investigators said the victim was in the area visiting his children
WEST FALLOWFIELD » Authorities are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead near the side of the roadway.
The Chester County District Attorney’s Office and West Fallowfield Police Department are investigating a homicide that occurred on Thursday evening. The DA’s office said on Friday that the victim, Samuel Algarin, 31, of Quarryville, was found deceased at approximately 10:15 p.m. Thursday on the side of Limestone Road in West Fallowfield Township.
Police have not yet announced the cause of death.
“This is a very active investigation,” West Fallowfield Police Chief Charles “Smoke” Wilmont said in a statement. “We would appreciate the public’s help in tracking down this killer.”
Wilmont did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Friday.
Police are actively looking for the victim’s car, a dark colored GMC Terrain SUV, PA license plate number JPG-5878. He lived in Quarryville in Lancaster County.
Police are also looking for anybody who had contact with the victim Thursday night when he was in the West Fallowfield area with his children earlier that evening. No additional information was available on Friday.
Investigators ask that anyone with information to contact the Chester County Detectives at 610-344-6866.
According to the county website, this is the fourth homicide to occur so far this year.
