Cinnamond fires 36 as Henderson rolls to win

Justin Cinnamond led four Henderson golfers with rounds in the 30s as the Warriors beat Coatesville, 190-218, in Ches-Mont League golf play at West Chester Country Club on Monday. Cinnamond shot a round of 36, followed by Dylan Kochis (37), Sam Bertrando (38), Casey Caufield (39) and Will James (40). Jeremy Negron and Jayden Dawson shot 41s to lead Coatesville. Alex Giunta shot 42 while Matt Hemlock and Austin DiSciullo both shot 47. KENNETT 212, GLEN MILLS 275 » Luke Mellen birdied the fourth hole at the challenging Golf Course at Glen Mills on his way to a round of 37 in the nonleague win for the Blue Demons. Griffin Haas shot a 40, Ben Gehrt shot a 42, Jack Ryan tallied a 44 and Nimah Narinesingh-Smith carded a 49.

DOWNINGTOWN EAST 2, ARCHBISHOP CARROLL 0 » Zach DeLone scored both goals, for his seventh and eighth goals of the season, as the Cougars blanked the Catholic League foes in nonleague play. Nate McCourt had one assist for Downingtown East.

DOWNINGTOWN WEST 3, COATESVILLE 0» Kate Olson, Sophia Lymberis and Grace Wenner all found the net for the Whippets in the Ches-Mont League victory. Alexa Locascio and Jess Harpel had assists for West in the win.

Nia Scott and Julia Littlewood had two goals each, while Caitlin Donovan and Kristy Dirico each found the net once in the Central League win for the Pioneers. Donovan had two assists and seniors Emily Wertz and Ashley Greenberg each had one. The Pioneers (3-0, 5-1-1) face a tough road test at Strath Haven before an interesting nonleague showdown at Downingtown East on Saturday.
