Katy M. Kuzovich

Katy M. Kuzovich beloved daughter born to Nicholas Paul Kuzovich and Judith E. Gantt Thomas August 19, 1972 in Philadelphia, was called to Heaven Sept 12, 2018. Katy was raised in love by her mother, adoptive father John S. Thomas, grandparents, Helen Gantt, Bill and Betty Lou Thomas, Nicholas and Mary Kuzovich, and many aunts and uncles. Katy had close bonds with surviving siblings, Heather Thomas, Rachel Thomas Sexton, brother Jesse Thomas, and many close cousins. With her constant positive attitude, she was a role model nurturing her nieces and nephews. From a tender age of baptism Katy had a heart for the Lord, confirmed at Calvary Lutheran Church, West Chester and after falling in love with her devoted lifetime partner of over 20 years, Aaron P. Somerick, joined Sandy Hill Community Church. Very active in their church family, they worked together side by side and were inseparable. Katy was an accomplished dancer and loved music. She lit up a room with her beautiful smile and transcended all her lifelong challenges with dignity and strong faith. She was educated in the West Chester Area School District and attended Temple University. Katy loved animals especially their dogs “Jack - John Thomas Treasure” and “Copper”. A memorial service will be held at Sandy Hill Community Church on Saturday October 6th. Visitation 11am, Service 12 noon.
