Frederick Andrew Brubaker of Oxford

Frederick Andrew Brubaker, 92, of Oxford, formerly of Downingtown, passed away, Wednesday September 26, 2018 at Ware Presbyterian Village, Oxford.

He was the husband of the late Marilyn (Sissy) Jane Myers Brubaker.

Born in Dayton, OH, he was the son of the late Arthur and Laura Miller Brubaker.

Frederick was a veteran of the US Navy and served in WWII.

He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, OH.

He owned and operated F.A. Brubaker & Assoc., Downingtown, retiring in his mid-80’s. Frederick formerly employed as a salesperson with Heil Environmental Industries, Chattanooga, TN for 20 years.

He was a member of the Oxford Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder. He was also a member of the Brandywine Shrine Club.

Frederick taught Adult Sunday School at Central Presbyterian Church, Downingtown.

He is survived by two sons, Andrew J. Brubaker (Sandra) of NH and Guy Arthur Brubaker (Lauren) of MD; one daughter, Jo Anna McDonald (James) of PA; three grandchildren, Chad Andrew Brubaker, Caitlin Elizabeth Simpson and Jaclyn Leigh Royster; three great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Joan Dowd of OH.

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Benton Frederick Brubaker.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Edward L. Collins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine St., Oxford, PA, where friends and family may visit from 9:30 – 11 am.

Interment will be in Oxford Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army, 669 Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320.
