Robin Radcliff Yontz, 62, of North Smithfield, RI, passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2018, in her home. She was the loving wife of Thomas S. Yontz with whom she shared almost 40 years of marriage. Born in Lancaster, PA, Robin was the daughter of Barbara (Simonds) Radcliff and the late Richard Radcliff. After graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Child Care and Development, she went on to follow her life’s work of teaching and nurturing children. She found such fulfilment in working alongside her friends in the North Smithfield school system, serving as a Girl Scout leader, and teaching Sunday School at Calvin Presbyterian Church. Robin was truly one of those special people who was born to be a mother and caretaker of others, and her greatest joy in life was raising her children and later her grandchildren. Robin enjoyed her various collections including glass paperweights, baskets, teddy bears and birds. She also loved many other hobbies such as crocheting, reading, stamping and puzzling, and really any arts and crafts. She was a devoted member of the Calvin Presbyterian Church in Cumberland RI, where she was an ordained deacon. She is survived, in addition to her husband, by her children: Amanda Wright and her husband Clayton; Amy Kuhn and her husband Daniel; Zachary Yontz and his partner Emily Minehart; and Alex Yontz and his wife Stacy; loving grandchildren Molly, Evelyn, Wylder and Gunner; her mother Barbara Radcliff; and her sister Lynn Macadangdang and Lynn’s husband Robert. Calling hours will be on Saturday October 13th, at the Keene-Brown Funeral Home, 445 Greenville Rd., North Smithfield, RI from 2-6PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service Sunday, October 14th at 3PM at Calvin Presbyterian Church 126 Angell Road Cumberland, RI 02864.
